All the World's a Stage!

Hello families, friends, and fans!

We just wrapped up our first week of rehearsals, and things are off to a running start! It's amazing to me how different the two casts are, but both are more fabulous than I had imagined and the show will be amazing--I can feel it!

We also have an amazing cast of parent volunteers. You wouldn't believe the things these parents have come up with! From newspaper corn stalks to savvy adverising ideas, they have it covered! I don't know how I would do this without them and I want to give a big shout out to everyone that has pitched in so far. You are all amazing!

To support your student at home, practice lines with your child! We only have a short amount of time here at the club, and won't be able to accomplish everything we need to do unless your kiddo comes prepared. My goal is to have all actors memorized by Spring Break. The script is theirs to keep, so have them highlight their lines and get cracking!

Cast Assignments

Cast assignments went out today and should be coming home with your child. This assignment was based off the information you gave me at last week's meeting, as well as phone calls and emails that I recieved. Clerical errors do happen, so if there is a discrepancy and you have been assigned to a day that will absolutely not work for you, just let me know!

And don't forget, your child's $15 club fee is due by the first cast meeting.

Help Needed!

I had an overwhelming response of parents that were willing to serve on a crew for our show. That is great! We are so excited to bring all of your talent into our production. I did not, however, have any volunteers who were willing to head up a crew for Props/Costumes (I have combined this to make it one crew) or Sets. I cannot pull this off without your help!

The responsibilities of the Crew Head would be as follows:

• You would need to be present at each cast meeting.
• You would facilitate the student crew members as they generate ideas.
• You would coordinate with adult crew members and delegate responsibilities to these adults.
• You would be a liason between me (Mrs. Patel) and your crew members.

Basically, you would be there to assist in organizational tasks. If this is something that you are willing or able to do, please email me immediately at jpatel@amphi.com.

If you are not a Crew Head but have signed up to help on a crew, you will only need to be present at those cast meetings of which your Crew Head has informed you.
